Leiden CNS @ Networks 2021

June 22, 2021 network science

Various memebers of the Leiden CNS group are present at the Networks 2021 conference, which is the Joint Sunbelt and NetSci Conference. It is the first combined meeting of the International Network for Social Network Analysis (Sunbelt XLI), and the Network Science Society (NetSci 2021); two communities that the Leiden CNS strongly affiliates with. The following presentations will be given by our group members:

  • Session E&I, June 30, 9:50: Carolina Mattsson, Process-driven network analysis of a mobile money system in Asia
  • Session WiNS, July 1, 10:20: Carolina Mattsson, Real-world walk processes on networks
  • Session 8, July 5, 8:45: Carolina Mattsson, Functional structure in production networks
  • Session 9, July 5, 9:45: Dafne van Kuppevelt & Eelke Heemskerk, Towards understanding the evolving community structure of board interlock networks
  • Session 54 , July 6, 12:45: Rachel de Jong, Measuring Anonymity in Complex Networks
  • Session 112, July 9, 8:15: Frank Takes, The community structure of global scientific collaboration
  • Session 151, July 10, 11:30: Hanjo Boekhout, Investigating scientific mobility in co-authorship networks using multilayer temporal motifs

Hanjo Boekhout starts as PhD candidate

Leiden CNS @ IC2S2 2021

About the CNS Group

The Leiden Computational Network Science (CNS) group is a research group working on methods and algorithms for analyzing  real-world (social) network data. We develop techniques to unveil patterns in dynamic complex networks from a range of application domains, including online soclal networks, population-scale networks, scientific collaboration networks and economic networks. The CNS group is lead by Frank Takes and hosted at LIACS, the Department of Computer Science and AI of Leiden University.
